Nippon Toki company (present Noritake Co., Ltd.), founded in 1904 at Noritake in the city of Nagoya, was the first to develop dinner plates in Japan. Since its founding, the company has produced a wide variety of dinnerware, laying the foundation of the Western tableware industry in Japan. In recent years, the "Old Noritake" - beautiful, delicate porcelain produced with exquisite craftsmanship, during the period from the end of the Meiji era to the beginning of the Showa era - has attracted widespread interest and admiration from collectors around the world. This exhibition introduces the magnificent beauty of Noritake China through some 200 items, including precious design books.
