ARCHITECTURE

Schematic Design The construction concept for the Museum is based on the idea of "creating a space that emphasizes and compliments superior art". White granite, the same material as the exterior of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) will harmonize with prestigious design throughout the ages. The characteristics of the building will therefore be in its elegance and individuality. Advanced technology is used for a security system and for a conservation of art works. While both the hotel and the Museum are in the same building, only a passageway on the second floor connects them with each other. The design of the building, therefore, allows the Museum a strong feeling of independence. The Museum may be of medium size, but by increasing the amount of exhibition space and providing full visitor facilities, it will achieve a high measure of comfort and spaciousness.
